Yokietrash is a website that i found that uses a simple but effective layout. The layout of the images on the homepage work really well and i like where the position of the brand name is.
I like the use of grey and bold text, it gives an urban feel. When a subheading is clicked everything under that drops down and the works are shown and when clicked again it comes back up and is a menu again!
After looking at other website layouts i found that i was getting more drawn to the minimal aesthetic rather than the bright coloured ones i previously researched!!
On the home page(image1) I like the way that when the cursor is on one of the squares it changes colour! Image 4&5 show his background story and contact details, a format i would like to play with.
I thought i might start fresh in terms of creating a new html for the concept development so I started to work on this example and stopped because its UGLY!! The layout and colour are not working. I think i might RE-WORK my project outline html we did for IND or start fresh again!
These are my possible colour palettes but not 100% sure!! In the 1st example i like the the way that the navigation menu is set up with the coloured line directly under each sub-heading.
This layout has four tall and narrow images that link to different categories of photos in his portfolio. I like this concept of a portfolio because it acts as a book and its simple. Click on the title of this post and you'll be able to see it for yourselves.
